About this adventure
Rhythm Street Movement brings its holiday variety show to the Macomb Center main stage for one December Saturday. The premise is a ridiculous ugly-sweater party: singers, tap dancers and an eight-piece live band open with swinging holiday mash-ups, then Santa raps to Rudolph, Frosty tap dances and the reindeer break into hip-hop. Two singer-detectives run a beatboxing investigation into who brought the Grinch-style humbug to the party, with a 1990s throwback segment, lots of audience interaction and a musical-chairs dance-off along the way. The Center pitches it as nonstop laughter for the whole family and invites the audience to come in their favorite ugly holiday sweater. Tickets start at $49, with youth tickets for ages 12 and under at $25; showtimes are chosen on the ticketing page. Good for elementary-age kids and up who enjoy music, dance and silly humor more than a quiet sit-down concert.
