The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy's annual Dia de los Muertos celebration at Robert C. Valade Park on the east riverfront, Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Free admission. The family-friendly event includes food trucks, shop vendors and arts and crafts (11 a.m.-3 p.m.), children's storytelling (11 a.m.-noon), live music with Luna (noon-1 p.m.), a dance performance by Ballet Folklorico Moyocoyani Izel (1-2 p.m.) and a community ofrenda where visitors can leave a name or message for a loved one. Parking is on nearby streets and in lots and structures; observe signs for payment.
