Lasky Recreation Center, 13200 Fenelon, holds a shorter Halloween in the D party than most centers, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026. Expect the recreation-center mix the city describes, with haunted houses, carnival games, face painting, DJs and more, and call (313) 628-2030 to confirm exact activity times. Halloween in the D is the City of Detroit's free Halloween program, and the early finish leaves time to visit one of the evening trunk-or-treats at police precincts and fire engine houses around the city.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
All Halloween in the D sites are listed on one City of Detroit page (curl, read 2026-10-21); 'free' comes from the program text ('safe, fun, and free experiences'). The page's sign-up link is for volunteers and participating partners; no family registration is mentioned. ZIP not printed.
