An all-ages celebration of yokai, supernatural beings from Japanese folklore, at the Novi Public Library. Visitors can learn about famous yokai from the kappa to the tengu and make yokai-themed crafts. Presented with the Hinoki Foundation and visitors from Shimane University, the event features an interactive performance by the SAKURA Cherry Blossom Japanese Instrumental Group with taiko drums, festival music, the Lion Dance (Shishimai) and a Bon Odori dance that everyone can join. Guests are invited to wear festive attire such as a yukata or kimono. The event starts in the Whole Meeting Room and uses the library's first floor. No registration is listed.
