Little Goblins is the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House's daytime, not-too-spooky Halloween event for families with young children. Kids come in costume and follow a Trick-or-Treat Trail of 13 treat stations through the trees from the Playhouse up to the Main Residence; for 2026 the route is new and extends to the historic pool. Along the way there are friendly costumed characters, themed photo spots, lawn games such as pumpkin tic-tac-toe, a straw maze short enough for little ones to see over, and a hay ride from the Main Residence back to the start. Each child receives a treat bag, and the event takes part in the Teal Pumpkin Project with non-candy items at every station. Every ticket includes one donut and an 8 oz. cup of cider, and light concessions are sold. The trail mixes paved road, gravel, grass, wood chip and boardwalk, so strollers and wagons are welcome but some sections are hard going; dress for the weather, as it runs rain or shine. Park in the Lake Shore grass lot across from the Main Gate (opens 10:30 a.m.). Last entry is 3:00 p.m. Tickets are limited and must be bought in advance; treats are only for children with a ticket.
