Second program in the fall Live the Story series: children put themselves in the shoes of American Girl doll Samantha, who grew up in upper-class New York in 1904, learn about the social conditions of the era and make a take-home craft. Tuesday Nov 10, 2026, 4:30-6 p.m. (about 90 minutes); for ages 7-12, who must be accompanied by a paying adult. $8 per person for THS members, $10 per person for nonmembers; supplies included. Register online by Monday Nov 9 at 12 p.m.; no walk-ins. Check in at the Main Building (large red brick building facing Wattles). Reading the book beforehand is suggested but not required; one American Girl doll may be brought at the owner's risk.
