Weekend hayrides from the Kensington Metropark Farm Center out to the pumpkin patch, where riders can unload to buy pumpkins and gourds (priced by size) before riding back. The Metroparks park-closures page lists Pumpkin Hayrides at Kensington from Oct. 1 to Oct. 31, 2026, Saturday and Sunday 12-4 p.m., weather permitting. Rides last about 20 minutes and are tractor-drawn or horse-drawn depending on conditions; wagons have a wheelchair lift (not available at the patch). Standard hayride rates apply: $3 per child (3-12), $5 per adult (13-61), $3 per senior (62+), children under two free. Pre-registration is not required; tickets are sold on site at the Farm Center office. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass ($10 daily) is required to enter the park.
