About this adventure
Livonia AIR (Adaptive Inclusive Recreation) runs events for people with special needs and their families, and Art from the Heart is its free mid-November afternoon of crafts, music and pizza. The event welcomes individuals with special needs together with their families, and caregivers are strongly encouraged to attend, so parents can bring a child or teen with a disability along with siblings and make art side by side in a relaxed, accepting setting. It runs two hours on a Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Commons of the Livonia Senior Wellness Center. Registration is online through the city; the program is free. Families with questions about accommodations can call the recreation office at 734-466-2555 before the day. A good low-pressure outing for families who find crowded holiday events overwhelming.
