Wayne County's drive-through holiday light display along Hines Drive, described by the county as a five-mile light display. The 2026 Lightfest is open Wednesday through Sunday from Thursday, Nov. 19 through Thursday, Dec. 24, 2026, 6-10 p.m. nightly, plus two bonus nights on Monday, Dec. 21 and Tuesday, Dec. 22 (other Mondays and Tuesdays closed). Entrance is at Merriman Hollow, 7651 N. Merriman Road in Westland. Admission is $5 per car ($20 commercial van/RV/limo, $25 mini-bus, $50 bus). On Toy Nights, Dec. 2 and Dec. 9, visitors can donate a new, unwrapped toy in place of the entrance fee. The Lights On grand opening is Thursday, Nov. 19 starting at 6 p.m. with refreshments, music, fireworks and Santa Claus; admission is free 6-6:30 p.m. for Lights On ceremony attendees. Hines Drive closes to traffic from Ann Arbor Trail to Outer Drive 5 p.m.-midnight on event days.
