About this adventure

December weekends on the Kemah Boardwalk bring a holiday program aimed at families: Santa visits, holiday music, a kids' craft area and a toy drive set up along the waterfront between the rides, restaurants and shops. On the Fridays in the same stretch (Dec. 4, 11 and 18) the Boardwalk also shows Christmas movies in the plaza, so families can bring a blanket, wear a cozy sweater and watch outdoors by the water. Walking the Boardwalk itself costs nothing, while rides, the train and food are paid separately; it is an easy outing for toddlers through tweens that can last an hour or a full evening. Bring the toy-drive donation if you want to take part.
