About this adventure

The Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center on the Central Canal presents Indiana history through immersive, interactive exhibits rather than glass cases. Current shows include an exhibit for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence that uses artifacts and personal stories to trace how liberty and equality were tested as the nation moved west, and an interurban exhibit with a room dressed as an early-20th-century rural interurban station with hands-on displays. A conservation lab area uses hands-on activities to show how history is saved. The free research library, History Market bookstore and Stardust Terrace Café are in the building, and parking in the lot off New York Street is free with admission. Festival of Trees runs in the holiday season with separate pricing.
