About this adventure

Hamilton County's largest park covers nearly 800 acres along three miles of the White River north of Noblesville, with more than 9 miles of multi-use trails through woods, wetlands and prairie. Archaeologists have found that people lived here mainly between 1200 and 1400 A.D., leaving arrowheads, pottery, storage and fire pits and the remains of bear and elk meals. The Taylor Center of Natural History displays these finds, and just outside it Koteewi Trace is a replicated Native American village with life-sized structures children can step into and a mock dig site for practicing archaeology. The park also has Koteewi Lake for fishing and quiet boating (no swimming), a White River canoe launch, equestrian trails, the Koteewi Range archery center with lessons and rentals, and in winter the Koteewi Run snow-tubing hill, a 700-foot run with a tow line (separate operator and reservations). The Aerial Adventures treetop trails are closed for the season while changing operators.
