About this adventure
For its third season, Glowing Gardens lights the Jacksonville Arboretum's trails after dark with thousands of lights, illuminated trees, light sculptures, a glowing 'river' and the popular Laser Forest. Children have their own play zone with a glowing dance floor, a giant inflatable igloo, light-up swings and see-saws, and holiday characters appear on select weekends. Hot cocoa and festive concessions are sold (beer and wine for adults). It is the nonprofit garden's biggest fundraiser, and dogs are allowed only on select nights listed on its calendar. Buying before November 27 saves a few dollars; children 3 and under are free, and adult pricing starts at age 16. The walk is on natural trails, so bring comfortable shoes and a stroller that handles dirt paths.
