About this adventure
After a three-year absence, ZOOLights returns to Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens as an evening holiday walk. Families stroll under light tunnels, past larger-than-life illuminated animal figures and through interactive light, projection and sound displays and a festive holiday village. Santa is on site on select nights for photos (the zoo says Santa scheduling details are still to come). Roaming DJs and carolers perform, with live music at the Watering Hole on Saturday nights, and s'mores and holiday drinks are sold. A Holiday Market with 25+ vendors runs December 16-20, 6-9 pm, during the event. Entry is by timed window (6:00-7:30 or 7:30-9:00 pm), and buying online saves $5. Animals are generally not visible after dark, and some areas use strobe lighting. It runs rain or shine; weather may lead to a rain check. Closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
