About this adventure
A volunteer-led birding walk at Anastasia State Park, part of the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail. The group covers the beach, boardwalks, trails and other parts of the park, looking for seabirds, shorebirds and wading birds, and the walk is open to all birding levels, so curious school-age kids and beginners are welcome alongside experienced birders. It lasts about an hour and three-quarters. Bring binoculars, comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing and a field guide if you have one. Meet at the Island Beach Shop & Grill at the end of the main park drive. The program is free with regular park admission and may be cancelled for weather.
