About this adventure

On Sunday, November 8, 2026, a Lightner Museum educator reads The Leaf Thief by Alice Hemming, illustrated by Nicola Slater, and then leads a hands-on craft built around the book. The workshop is for children ages 3 to 6. A guardian has to stay for the whole program. It uses the museum's Education Center or Garden. The museum caps the session at 10 children. Families check in at the front desk five minutes before 10:00 a.m. and meet the educator there. The storytime is a free workshop and still requires pre-registration. Gallery admission afterward is separate: guardians pay a discounted $12, and children under 11 are admitted to the galleries free. The Rotary Club of St. Augustine Sunset supports the free workshop. Printed hours are 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The page's JSON-LD stamp of 5:00 a.m. does not match those hours or the Google Calendar link, which uses 15:00 UTC.
