About this adventure
A one-hour outdoor class for preschoolers and one adult at the zoo's Education Estates campus, at the south end of the main parking lot (no zoo admission needed). Each week has a lesson with preschool-style activities, games, an animal encounter and a craft to take home; the same lesson runs on all class days that week. The fall 2026 theme is L'il Zoologists, with remaining topics on mammals (Oct 29–31), marsupials (Nov 12–14), life cycles (Nov 19–21) and food chains (Dec 3–5). Classes are capped at twelve children, registration closes at 8 a.m. the Saturday before each week, and strollers and extra children cannot come into the classroom. Classes move indoors in bad weather.
