De Soto starts its holiday season with the Mayor's annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at City Hall, where residents help deck the halls of the building before the tree is lit. The free evening event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on the same day Santa tours De Soto neighborhoods on a fire truck that afternoon, so families can make a day of it. Details on entertainment are not listed yet; check the city calendar closer to the date.
