Elves have "migrated" to the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve for the holidays. Registered families receive a map and sticker set for a self-paced scavenger hunt around the ponds and trails; each time children spot one of the hidden elves, such as Featherbell near the hummingbirds or Pinecone Pete under the mesquites, they add its sticker to the map. The hunt runs daily during preserve hours, 7 am to 1:30 pm, from November 28 to December 23, so families can go whenever suits them. It is for all ages; registration is required.
