Discovery Cube Los Angeles in Sylmar turns its Halloween season into a magic-themed science playground. In the Magician's Workshop kids learn three tricks to take home—a card trick, cups and balls, and ring-on-a-string—and the center displays classic illusions such as a cloning room, levitation, magic mirrors and holograms. Outside there are bouncy magical-creature rides, a castle bounce house with slide, tractor rides for little ones, a haybale maze, a corn maze, pumpkin catapults, a carnival-style magical midway and a Día de los Muertos ofrenda. On weekends there are trick-or-treat stations (each guest gets a reusable bag) and performances by young magicians who have appeared at the Magic Castle. Open daily 10 am–5 pm through November 8, included with general admission or membership.
