An easy-paced afternoon family hike in Agua Chinon, part of OC Parks' Irvine Ranch Open Space, starting in the City of Irvine and travelling into Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve. About 3 miles round trip with a gradual 500 ft climb, watching for red-tailed hawks and mule deer, with a medium level of interpretation. Hikers should be able to manage beginner terrain; wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Minimum age 5. Advance registration required; no walk-ups.
