- Descanso Gardens with Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy
Naturalist Tim Martinez of Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy leads a two-hour Nature Lab on how Descanso Gardens fits into a wildlife corridor linking the San Gabriel Mountains, canyons and the city. Participants learn how native habitat lets animals move, forage and survive, meet the local cast—black bears, bobcats, coyotes, deer and many birds—and discuss practical ways to coexist with wild neighbors. Descanso lists it for families and kids as well as adults; it suits school-age children curious about local animals. It meets in Gathering Room A. Included with admission or membership; RSVP required.
