About this adventure
Families can spend a December night aboard the World War II–era Battleship IOWA in San Pedro. The Holiday Family Overnight includes dinner and dessert on the ship's historic mess decks, a two-hour behind-the-scenes guided tour of the battleship, a night sleeping in real sailor bunks (called racks), and breakfast on board the next morning. It is open to kids ages 6 and up, and every adult must come with a child — parents, guardians, relatives or family friends are all welcome — and each minor needs a Family Overnight Contract signed by a legal guardian. Arrival is at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, and departure is 9 a.m. on Sunday, December 6. The price is $130 per person, adult or child, and the overnight is limited to 200 participants, so it is likely to fill early; the museum may reschedule or cancel based on interest.
