Monrovia's annual Holiday Parade steps off at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, and travels north on Myrtle Avenue through Old Town from Walnut Avenue to Palm Avenue. As an evening parade on the main street of Old Town, it is an easy holiday outing for families who want to stake out a curbside spot and watch the floats and groups go by after dinner. Myrtle Avenue is fully closed from Huntington Drive to Foothill Boulevard between 5 and 10 p.m., along with nearby side streets, so plan to park in the mid-block lots or on Ivy or Primrose Avenue and walk in.
