The 118th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade sends more than 100 decorated yachts, boats, kayaks and canoes along a 14-mile route in Newport Harbor each night, beginning and finishing at the tip of Lido Isle at approximately 6:30 p.m. The parade can be viewed free from almost any place on shore. Opening night (Wednesday, Dec. 16) at Marina Park, the largest public viewing spot, includes an opening ceremony, a Holiday Market with 35+ local makers, food vendors, live music and kid activities (4–8 p.m.), fireworks at 6:15 p.m. and the parade passing Marina Park at 6:45 p.m.; admission is free.
