Free Saturday Día de los Muertos art workshops led by Self Help Graphics & Art teaching artists at the East Los Angeles Library. Oct 17: Day of the Dead recuerdo (memory) posters with tissue paper, stencils and markers (Victoria Delgadillo). Oct 24: 'living candle' mini paintings on canvas with an LED light for a home altar (Ivan Zuno). Oct 31: candle decorating with tissue paper, wax paper and heat transfers (Nupur Behera). Participants can also try papel picado and paper marigolds. All materials provided. Popular activities may have a wait; arrive early.
