On select December evenings the Flagler Museum's Gilded Age mansion, Whitehall, opens for small-group, docent-led holiday tours of the first floor, sharing the history and traditions of Christmas in the Gilded Age. Yuletide carolers and winter refreshments set the mood, and this year each historic room also features floral artistry inspired by HBO's The Gilded Age (the Fleurs de Villes installation on view December 18–27). After the tour, families can linger for refreshments on the Front Portico. Tours run December 18–23, 26 and 27 at 6:00, 6:20, 6:40 and 7:00 pm. Tickets are $65 for adults and $35 for children; buy in advance from the museum. Best for older children and teens with an interest in history and holiday traditions.
