About this adventure
An evening visit to the historic Richmond Cottage at Deering Estate, decorated this year in the "Tides and Tidings" holiday theme. Each visit starts with a short introduction and orientation, then guests walk the decorated rooms at their own pace while staff on both floors answer questions about the house, its architecture and the estate's history. Afterwards everyone heads outside to a campfire overlooking Biscayne Bay, where marshmallows are handed out free. Guests may arrive any time between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m.; the ticket time chosen at purchase applies only to the house tour, with introductions at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. Tour capacity may be limited, so a time slot is picked when buying tickets. The Stone House is closed for restoration during this season; the rest of the estate is open.
