Local high school choirs compete with iconic holiday carols at the Merrick Festival Caroling Competition, which runs over a week in early December at 550 Biltmore Way in Coral Gables. Hearing teenagers perform is a festive outing for families and an inspiring one for kids who sing in school choirs. Opening night is December 2 from 7 to 10 pm; for the full schedule see carolingcompetition.org or call 305-491-4180.
