About this adventure
The Urban Ecology Center's Menomonee Valley branch opens its Day of the Dead evening with a Bembe performance, a DJ, face painting and flower-crown making from 4 to 6 p.m., when families can also make something in memory of loved ones. A ceremony follows at 6, then the group sets out at 6:30 on a candle- and lantern-lit night walk to the Mitchell Park Domes to join the Domes' own Día de los Muertos celebration from 7 to 9 p.m. (the Domes portion is a separately ticketed event). Presented with Sixteenth Street Clinic, Walker's Point Clinic and Friends of the Domes. The UEC portion is free.
