About this adventure

Wisconsin's only urban state forest: 237 acres of grassland, woods and wetland on Milwaukee's north side with more than six miles of trails for hiking, running, biking and wildlife watching. Families can explore the nature center, which houses over a dozen Wisconsin animals (mostly reptiles and amphibians), visit the ponds and cross the 120-foot bridge. No state park vehicle sticker is needed. Bus 30 stops at Sherman & Douglas.
