About this adventure
A winter-break needle-felting class for one child and one adult working side by side, each on their own project. Felter Jen Newburg leads pairs through shaping and decorating a pocket-sized wool tomte (the Swedish holiday gnome) and a small creature companion, for display or imaginative play. Needle felting means poking colorful wool into shape with a special needle; the class is open to all skill levels. Advance registration is required, and a $25 materials fee covering all tools and wool is paid to the instructor in class. ASI asks families to contact it about space for extra children with one registered adult.
