About this adventure
Adventure Science Center marks Día de los Muertos on Sunday, November 1. From 10 am to 1 pm, Catrinas and Catrines from Dakinitri Studio stroll the building handing out Mexican candies and performing traditional dances. The Catrina is the elegantly dressed skeleton that honors loved ones who have died while celebrating life with humor. In the Makerspace, children make sugar-skull planters to take home. The celebration is included with general admission, so families can combine it with the science galleries and add a planetarium show for an extra fee. It suits all ages; younger children may enjoy the costumed dancers most, while school-age kids can spend time on the Makerspace craft.
