About this adventure

On Halloween Saturday, Adventure Science Center invites kids to come in costume for a full day of trick-or-treating with candy stations spread throughout the building, plus hands-on science activities. Children can decorate their own treat bag, try playing a theremin (the instrument you play without touching), hold "Boo Bubbles," craft a googly-eyed bat and squish slime worms. From 9 am to noon, Lipscomb University's College of Health Sciences brings a real cardiovascular perfusion machine to show how blood can be circulated outside the body. The activities are included with general admission, so families can mix them with the regular exhibit galleries. The center asks that costumes leave faces visible: no full-face masks or costume weapons. Timed-entry tickets are suggested online; members check in at the membership desk.
