About this adventure
Cheekwood's holiday light walk sets the gardens glowing with more than a million lights along a one-mile walking path, from November 20 through January 3. Highlights include the Peppermint Path, the Star Field, a 28-foot Pixel Pine over the Bradford Robertson Color Garden, and the Dancing Lights of TRAINS!, where the garden's permanent model-train exhibit gets a holiday makeover that train-loving kids will want to linger over. Families can roast s'mores at outdoor firepits on the Frist Learning Center terrace (kits sold at the bar kiosks and marketplace), browse the Holiday Marketplace, and, with a Gardens + Mansion ticket, walk through the Historic Mansion's French-inspired holiday installation, An Enchanted Noel. Evening hours are 4:30 to 10 pm; the walking path is outdoors, so dress for the weather and bring a stroller for little ones. Peak nights cost more than non-peak nights, and children 2 and under are free.
