About this adventure
Discovery Center's Cultural Heritage Day: Holiday Open House celebrates winter traditions from around the world. Children join a museum-wide hunt for the Yule Lads, the 13 mischievous holiday visitors from Icelandic folklore, help decorate a giant gingerbread house and learn how families in different cultures celebrate the winter holidays. Santa also stops by for a special visit. Admission is reduced to $5 per person for the day, making it an affordable outing for the whole family, and all guests get 15% off gift shop purchases. The open house runs from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, December 5, and is supported by the Nissan Foundation.
