About this adventure
The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County's 41st annual Pumpkinfest, billed as Middle Tennessee's largest family fall festival, takes over Main Street in historic downtown Franklin and this year expands to two days. Children head to the KidZone for games, activities and arts and crafts, and families can enter the people costume contest at 12:30 pm or the pet costume contest at 4 pm (registration online). Autumn Alley fills a full block with fall-themed activities, three stages carry live music all weekend, and an arts-and-crafts marketplace and food vendors line the street. The Scarecrow Crawl sends families to downtown merchants for treats and discounts and enters them in a raffle for a family movie four-pack at The Franklin Theatre, which also shows cartoons during the festival. Hours are Saturday 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday 11 am to 5 pm.
