About this adventure

Warner Parks is home to Great Horned, Barred and Eastern Screech Owls, and in migration and winter even tiny Northern Saw-whet Owls. On this dusk walk, naturalist Graham Gerdeman leads a search for owls along the Little Harpeth River and up to the forest edges of Ridgefield in Edwin Warner Park, listening and calling for birds as darkness falls. The program runs from 4:30 to 7 pm and is for ages 13 and up, so it suits teens interested in birding or night hikes. Dress warmly for an evening outdoors. Registration opens October 24 by email or phone with the Warner Park Nature Center (615-862-8555), which shares the meeting details.
