The Long Island Children's Museum's annual 'Noon' Year's Eve celebration lets young children ring in the new year at a time they can actually stay awake for. On December 31 the museum opens for extended hours, 10 am to 5 pm, with an upgraded visit that includes three festive ball drops through the day, a personal confetti bag for each child, a dance party and themed crafts, on top of all the museum's regular exhibits and play spaces. It is a ticketed special day: the museum lists $25 for adults and children and $23 for visitors 65 and up, and recommends buying tickets in advance online.
