The 53rd Street Library's Monday Crafternoon marks Día de Muertos with a reading of This Moment is Special: A Día de Muertos Story by John Parra, then children make tissue-paper marigolds (cempasúchil). The book and craft suit Pre-K to 2nd grade, though younger and older kids can adapt the craft. This session meets downstairs by the children's non-fiction books.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
NYPL's www pages sit behind Imperva (curl gets a JS stub). Event data read from NYPL's own public Drupal JSON:API (drupal.nypl.org/jsonapi/node/event), the record that renders this page; times converted from UTC to America/New_York; branch address from the linked library node. NYPL describes its calendar programs as free. Cross-check: the Noon Years Eve page was read via Cloudflare Browser Run and matched the API.
