Through most of December the Inside Art space at the Children's Museum of Manhattan becomes a sprawling winter city built by visiting children. Kids add to the collaborative installation by designing glowing decorations, mini architectural sculptures, tiny transportation systems and holiday scenes, so the city grows and changes from one visit to the next. It is a drop-in activity each afternoon from 2:00 to about 4:15 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, from December 8 to December 30, including Christmas Eve and the week between the holidays. No booking is needed beyond admission. The Children's Museum of Manhattan is designed for children ages 0–6; the program is included with museum admission (members free).
