On Thursday, November 5, while New Jersey schools close for the NJEA convention, Reeves-Reed Arboretum runs a morning mini camp for children ages 5–10. Campers hike the arboretum's woodlands, collect natural 'treasures' and turn them into art, with games, music-making and possibly a story along the way. The session runs from 9:00 am to noon. The arboretum also offers a separate 'Lunch Buddies' hour and an afternoon session called 'Our Marvelous Moon', so families can book a full day. Prices are per child: $50 for members and $65 for non-members. Registration is required, and there are no refunds for cancellations made within two weeks of camp.
