About this adventure
The planetarium at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg shows Earth, Moon, and Sun (and Coyote) on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Coyote, a quick-witted character adapted from Native American oral traditions, is confused about what he sees in the sky, and the fast-paced show uses his stories to explore lunar phases, eclipses and other sky puzzles and how humans learn through space exploration; it ends with a brief tour of the current night sky. The recommended age is 6 to 12. Families can stay for the 4:00 PM Monster Mash Laser Concert, where the planetarium's witches and ghouls set lasers to songs such as the Addams Family theme, Monster Mash and Ghostbusters. Admission is $11 per person for one show or $20 for two shows back to back, paid at the door; reservations by phone are recommended, and late admission is not allowed, so arrive 20 to 30 minutes early.
