Central Park Conservancy

The Gottesman Rink is the outdoor rink at the Davis Center beside the Harlem Meer at the north end of Central Park, run by the Central Park Conservancy. Its season opens on Sunday, November 1, 2026. Community Skate sessions are 80 minutes long and open to skaters of all ages and levels, with winter views over the Meer. Tickets are cheap by Manhattan standards: children 4–16 pay $5 at any time, adults pay $5 off-peak (weekdays 7 am–5 pm) and $10 at peak times, and children 3 and under skate free. Figure and hockey skates can be rented for $10 a session, and lockers are first come, first served (bring a lock or buy one for $5). The Davis Center's indoor gathering space next to the rink is free and open to the public daily, which helps when small skaters need to warm up. Saturday nights bring Harlem Nights, an extended Community Skate with a live DJ, and the Center also runs Learn to Skate group lessons for tots to adults. NYC Parks lists rink hours of 7 am to 9 pm most days and to 11 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays.
