A hands-on family gardening session in Queens County Farm Museum's six Teaching Gardens, led by the farm's in-house botanist and biology expert Tess Fleming, with the farm's Compost and STEM coordinators on hand for some sessions. Families learn practical skills such as planting seedlings, direct sowing, weeding, pruning, companion planting, harvesting vegetables and drying herbs, and each one-hour session focuses on a particular gardening topic. The sessions are fully outdoors. Fall sessions run at 2:00 pm on Saturdays October 31, November 14 and November 28. The fee is $5, with tickets on the farm's TicketSpice page.
