On six December evenings Muscoot Farm in Katonah opens after dark so families can see the farm 'in a new light'. The barns are decorated for the season and visitors walk through to see the farm animals inside, then join holiday-themed activities around the farmyard. Participating food trucks sell dinner and treats, so it can double as an evening meal out. The event runs Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 8 pm on December 4–5, 11–12 and 18–19. Registration is required in advance through the county's payment link: $6 per person, and children 2 and under are free. It runs rain or shine and there are no refunds, so dress for a cold, possibly wet walk between buildings and bring a flashlight for the paths.
