The Town of Yorktown's fifteenth annual Holiday Electric Lights Parade and Tree Lighting takes place on Saturday, December 5. Light-covered floats and vehicles from local groups start on Front Street, turn onto Underhill Avenue and Commerce Street, pass the firehouse, where judges review each entry, and finish on Veterans Road at Jack DeVito Field Veterans Plaza. There the town lights its tree and presents awards, including the Twinkle Award for the most dazzling lights and, for 2026, a special Yorktown 250 Award for the most patriotic display in honor of America's 250th anniversary. Families can watch from anywhere along the route in Yorktown Heights and then gather at the plaza for the lighting. The town has not yet posted a start time.
