The Museum's decades-old holiday tradition returns to the Futter Gallery on Floor 1: a 13-foot tree hung with more than 1,000 hand-folded origami models, including the T. rex, the Blue Whale and other iconic exhibits. This year's theme is 'animal athletes', with new models of hummingbirds, cheetahs, ants, flying fish and other animals known for athletic feats. The models are folded by local, national and international artists with OrigamiUSA. Included with any Museum admission; the Museum's website also has origami how-to videos for trying the folds at home.
