About this adventure
The Growing Stage, the Children's Theatre of New Jersey, stages a holiday musical built on Mo Willems' picture-book characters at the historic Palace Theatre in Netcong (Morris County, near the Sussex line) from December 4 to 20, 2026. The Unlimited Squirrels deck the halls and Elephant and Piggie arrive ready to party, but will the Pigeon join in — or run all the way to the North Pole looking for the greatest gift ever? Expect songs, silly stories, goofy gifts and plenty of audience participation. The theatre aims it at families with children from pre-K to third grade and recommends it for the entire family. Main Stage performances are normally Saturdays at 4 pm and Sundays at 2 pm, with occasional Friday 7:30 pm shows; seating is general admission and opens 30 minutes before curtain. Parking is in the bank lot next door when the bank is closed, the lot behind it and nearby streets.
