About this adventure
Fairy Tale Forest, the storybook park in the Oak Ridge section of West Milford, reopens after Thanksgiving for its Winter Wonderland Walk Through. Families bundle up and stroll past the park's fairytale cottages glistening with holiday lights, meet Santa and costumed mascot friends, join carol sing-alongs and warm up with cocoa and fresh-baked cookies. Fables, the on-site restaurant, serves a menu of seasonal favorites, and the gift shop sells stocking stuffers. The opening weekend runs Friday through Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend, November 27–29, 2026, with mascot meet and greets, caroling and a visit from Santa; ticketed dates continue on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in December plus December 21–23, 26 and 27. Opening weekend tickets are $22 for adults, $18 for kids and $20 for seniors and military. A separate Thursday edition is also sold. Tickets are bought online in advance through the park's ticketing page.
